Welcome to the YAHS Community

The 'YAHS Community' is a family that describes all those people and organisations who become associated with Yanco Agricultural High School (YAHS) through a lifetime. Its members comprise those associated with the school, (its teaching, domestic and farm staff), its students and parents, the YAHS P&C Association, the Old Yanconians' Union Inc. (school alumni), the YAHS Old Yanconians' Foundation, some local businesses and corporate partners.

In 2022 YAHS celebrated its centenary. Establishing a residential Agricultural High School at Yanco in 1922 on Sir Samuel McCaughey's former North Yanco station, was the product of several important developments in NSW education and irrigated agriculture.

Yanconians' Business Directory

The Old Yanconians' Union (OYU) is delighted to launch its new Yanconians' Business Directory. This initiative adds additional services for the extended YAHS Community and those with close associations with the school, encouraging the support and promotion of Yanconians' business within our school and local communities.

We hope the directory will also strengthen a wider sense of  community amongst Yanconians and identify links and available services which will build new relationships between members.

The 'Yanco Family' is one of those defining features of the school's experience for so many of us. We believe these directories will be another way we can enhance that experience.

Yanconians' Network

As a part of the YAHS Community Yanconians' Network, we invite you to register your business interests on the directory and share with fellow Yanconians your mutual interest in allied businesses.

It is an important tool in business networking and business relationship opportunities.

It's a FREE service to encourage Yanconians to do business within the school community and to build our networks.

• To register and list your business details, go to Yanconians' Network then to the Yanconians' Directory button and select the 'Register your business'.

• To locate any business within the directory simply search by business type or using the worldwide map to see businesses locally, in Australia and overseas.

Business Directory

A business listing and advertising in our YAHS Community Business Directory is an investment now and into the futureTo locate goods and services provided in local communities around southern, central-west and north west NSW and throughout Australia simply search by state, region and town . Be sure to share the availability of this new service with other local businesses in your community.

Supporting local businesses from within the Yanco family can create a mutually beneficial result for both clients and business owners. We believe that having a shared Yanco experience will provide a greater level of trust as well. It also strengthens the sense of connection in the relationship. In turn, this can ensure the best level of service. Additionally, every purchase or service we access from a business with links to the Yanco family, can help improve the local economy by creating and sustaining regional jobs.
